Systems Software Engineer

Job Description:

• The Hi-tech Business Unit at client is currently seeking a Systems Software Engineer. Based in Spring, TX, this position will provide opportunity to work for one of our largest client accounts.
• This position requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer Engineering (or an equivalent combination of experience), plus 5 years’ experience in test engineering including validation of components, network & Storage options, servers and systems software.
• Years of experience needed – 5+ years of experience.

Technical Skills:

• 5-6 years of experience in Systems Testing/Validation on Data Center products.
• Experienced on Server Operating Systems like Windows, RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu.
• Experience in configuring various Server components - BIOS, BMC, NIC, Storage, Power. etc
• Experience in configuring & managing Virtualization environment based of ESXi & Hyper V
• Experienced in Network products, technologies & Protocols – Router, Switch, DHCP, DNS. etc
• Experienced in Storage products, technologies & Protocols – Controller, MSA, SAN, RAID, SSD, NVMe. etc
• Experience in creating Testplan and Testcase from functional & technical requirement.
• Experience in test execution, result tracking and reporting.
• Understanding of bug lifecycle and its various stages.

Process Skills:

• Work with the team leads to resolve project roadblocks.
• Proactively identify and eliminate impediments.
• Supports product owner(s) with intra-team dynamics with respect to priorities and scope.
