Position Title: Systems / Solution Architect
Duration: Fulltime

About the Role: The Systems/Solution Architect is a key player responsible for developing business, data, systems, and infrastructure models to support COTS or Non-COTS application architectures deployed in mid-range client server and mainframe environments. This role involves engineering integrated hardware and software solutions to meet mission requirements while ensuring compliance with CMS technical reference models and adherence to hardware/software standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop plans for maintaining architectures, ensuring alignment with CMS technical reference models and industry standards.
• Engineer integrated hardware and software solutions, optimizing them to meet mission requirements.
• Ensure architecture meets user/client needs, cost parameters, and integrates seamlessly with existing applications, systems, or platforms.
• May contribute to the development of specifications, prototypes, or initial user guides.

Qualifications: It is required that the Systems Architect have the following qualifications:

• At least seven (7+) years of experience performing architecture-related work on a minimum of two (2) IT systems.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or another related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, plan, and execute architecture strategies, including feasibility studies and integration analyses.

Desirable qualifications include:

• Experience supervising and providing guidance in implementing various mid-range architectures and supporting large-scale applications.
• Experience leading and directing the work of other IT professionals.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and consensus-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to present material effectively to all levels of personnel.
• Knowledge of CMS IT Architecture and Standards.
