Tableau Developer

Required Skills :
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Bioinformatics or related field of study along with 3-5 years of professional experience.
2-3 years of Business Intelligence (BI) experience developing Tableau dashboards, reporting, visualizations, and data models.
1-2 Experience with scientific, clinical, oncology or related data.
Strong skills in Tableau dashboard design, development, tuning, and best practices.
Excellent data visualization and design skills.
Proficiency in SQL (joins, queries, select statements).
Knowledge about data modeling and data prep (discovery, structuring, cleaning, enriching, validation, publishing).
Solid Agile experience on development projects – gathering requirements, translating to use cases, stories, delivery.
Exposure to Python would be helpful.
Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and develop work plans to meet deadlines.
Experience with other data visualization tools is highly desirable.
A portfolio of previously built data visualization is mandatory for interview.

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Tableau Developer with strong visualization skills and expertise in Tableau and SQL to join our team. As a Tableau Developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data visualization solutions, ensuring optimal display and interpretation of complex data sets. In addition, you will collaborate with stakeholders, gather user requirements, review dashboards, and incorporate feedback to continuously enhance the visualizations.
Our team supports dashboard creation for scientific research teams, so understanding of scientific data, clinical data or oncology data would be highly sought after. Our team works without defined specifications from our customer (scientific teams) so the Tableau Developer will be responsible for working with the customer to develop applicable specifications by asking the right questions to drill down what the scientific team needs form reports/dashboards.

Responsibilities:
Work with project staff and management to design, develop, test, and deploy Tableau dashboards incorporating large data sets from multiple sources following a Software Development Life Cycle process.
Produce clean and efficient source code which is well-documented and free from security vulnerabilities.
Effectively communicate status, collaborate, and problem-solve with relevant stakeholders.
Collaborate with colleagues to identify recommendations for process improvements, overcoming constraints, and resolve difficult operational and technological issues.
Stay up-to-date with the latest data visualization techniques and industry trends.
Proactively identify opportunities to leverage data visualizations for improved decision-making.
Provide guidance and support to increase data literacy across the organization.
