Job Description:

 

  • Overview:
    • Support heterogeneous tape library environment for maximum uptime and troubleshoot issues
    • The requirement is to take on an OPS role that would include responding to issues, engaging Client Daniel Ward's team as needed, engaging vendors to repair HW/SW/FW, and proactively monitoring media archive tape libraries, and the 'media workflow', to anticipate issues, and, catch them before any clients are affected
    • Hours are typically those of the East Coast business day. HOWEVER, there could be overlap with other time zones during the week, as well as weekend activity, i.e., OnCall Rotation

 

  • Skills:
    • Strong tape library background; IBM TS1140/1150
    • Perl expertise
    • Familiarity with Commvault
    • Good oral and written communication skills 

 

  • Nice to have Skills: 
    • Jira 
    • Confluence 
    • ServiceNow
    • Media workflow
