Team Lead/Tech Lead - Cloud Data Engineering

EDL Tier 1 Support Leader - Join our Cloud Data Engineering Team!

Remote work in the Central Time Zone is also an option.

Role Overview:
Lead an offshore team in support of data processing for a large Microsoft Azure EDL Tier 1 organization.
Monitor and respond to issues or failures in Cloud Data Engineering processes.
Collaborate with North America and India Cloud Data Engineering Service Delivery teams.
Report to account leadership on status and escalations, and drive continuous improvement.
Mentor the offshore team to ensure timely issue resolution and initiate necessary escalations.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage data processing for API, Streaming, and Batch processing in a Microsoft Azure EDL.
Track incident and problem management for trending and proactive issue avoidance.
Collaborate with the St. Louis customer EDL service delivery and domain teams.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the offshore support team.
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years in data warehouse star schema design, ETL development, and SQL.
3-5 years as a team leader or technical team mentor.
Experience working with offshore teams in a leadership role.
8-10 years in Cloud Data Engineering Support roles, preferably in Microsoft Azure.
Experience with Incident and Problem Management, preferably using ServiceNow.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with various IT teams and business representatives.
Knowledge of APIs, Azure Functions, Scala, Python, Azure SQL DB, and Azure App Insights.
Experience with Streaming and Batch Support using Azure technologies.

Nice to Have:
Knowledge of Data Product Hygiene, Security, and Audit Compliance.
Experience with Big Data solutions, no SQL DBMSs, and public cloud environments.
Familiarity with Azure platform technologies like Databricks, Event Hub, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Delta Lake, Cosmos DB, or DevOps.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field experience preferred.
