Position Overview

 

  • Candidate will be part of the reconciliation development team. An ideal candidate will be a Technical/Business Analyst with excellent data manipulation, analysis, documentation, and SQL skills They will develop within an internal tool named Data Analysis & Reconciliation Tool (DART). It is a reconciliation engine that supports 11 lines of business. The person in this role will be responsible for developing reconciliation jobs using DART.
  • Reconciliations are data processes where data representing the same accounts from two systems are compared to ensure the systems are reflecting the same information. This data could be balances, transactions, trades, or positions. This role is equal parts analysis and development.
  • The candidate will work on reconciliation jobs from initial requirements gathering through testing and promotion to production. No prior knowledge of the DART tool is required, but preference is given to candidates with strong SQL skills.

     

Responsibilities of this position will include but not limited to:

 

  • Listen to business requirements and ask questions to determine how to source, transform and match data.
  • Analyze business requirements against source data and resolve issues (missing data, data integrity, etc.).
  • Perform data transformations within DART to modify source data in preparation for data matching.
  • Create ‘match’ jobs to compare data from the two systems.
  • Configure the user interface to display data according to business requirements.
  • Document the capabilities of the DART product.
  • Document procedures, requirements, as well as testing efforts.
  • Assist with and perform non-application development activities that required good organizational and quality checking skills.

     

Required Skills

 

  • The person should be strong in SQL (MS SQL, ORACLE)
  • Good analytical skills with ability to interpret BRD and FSD. In the absence of BRD/FSD should be able to ask relevant questions to the user community to gather information to address gaps.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with development team members and business partners is essential.
  • Be self-motivated and take ownership of their assigned work
