**Job Summary for Program Manager (PM5):**

- Design, plan, and coordinate work teams.
- Provide technical support to project team members.
- Handle complex application features and technical designs.
- Design and implement components for complex application features.
- Manage a group of applications systems analysts.
- Utilize experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Generally report to a senior manager.
- Possess all skills of a PM4.
- Have experience with a specific government application.
- Possess 11 or more years of experience.
- Recognized as top professionals and subject-matter experts in IT Professional Services.
- Typically hold advanced education degrees or certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Programmer, Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP), Project Manager Professional (PMP)).
- Advanced degrees and certifications may substitute for experience, at the State's discretion.
- Have worked on multiple critical projects.
- Demonstrate judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Perform a variety of complicated tasks.
- May lead and direct the work of others.
- May report directly to Director or CIO level management.
- Expected to have a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
