Technical Manager

Job Title: Technical Manager/Architect 
- Big Data and Asset Management 
Location: Pune or Chennai 
Experience: 10-15 years in IT with a minimum of 3-4 years in Big Data technologies 
Key Skills: 
• Proficiency in Scala, Java, Oracle, Kafka and Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) 
• Strong understanding of data cleansing, validation, and Data Lake concepts 
• Previous involvement in managing teams of 15-20 individuals in an onshore-offshore model 
Responsibilities: 
• Lead and manage a team of 15-20 professionals across onshore and offshore locations for a banking client in Asset Management. 
• Oversee and contribute to data cleansing, validation, and the development and maintenance of Data Lake solutions. 
• Engage in Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, and Product Roadmap discussions to align technical strategies with business objectives. 
• Actively participate in technical discussions, providing expertise in Big Data technologies and solutions. 
• Handle escalations and be responsible for resolution through collaboration and technical leadership. 
• Review and approve design changes, ensuring adherence to best practices and scalability. 
Requirements: 
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members effectively. 
• Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders, conduct technical discussions, and articulate solutions. 
• Experience working in Agile methodologies and familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc. 
• Adaptability and willingness to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. 
Preferred Qualifications: 
• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Cloudera, Oracle, Scala, etc.)
