- Understand the principles of operation, applications, and installation requirements of various field instruments.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive offerings in the field instrument market.
2. Customer Engagement:
- Engage with customers to understand their requirements and challenges related to process measurement and control.
- Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, and product trainings for customers to showcase the features and benefits of our field instruments.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues.
3. Solution Selling:
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies targeting key accounts and new business opportunities.
- Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate field instrument solutions to meet their specific requirements.
- Prepare and present technical proposals, quotations, and product specifications to customers, ensuring alignment with their expectations and budget constraints.
4. Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and channel partners to promote customer loyalty and satisfaction.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers by offering technical guidance, product recommendations, and after-sales support.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, and product management, to address customer feedback, product improvements, and market demands.
5. Market Intelligence:
- Gather market intelligence and competitive insights to identify emerging opportunities, threats, and market trends in the field instrument industry.
- Provide feedback to the management team regarding customer preferences, market dynamics, and competitive positioning to inform strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or related field).
- Proven experience (3+ years) in technical sales or engineering roles, preferably within the field instrument industry.
- Strong understanding of industrial processes, automation systems, and instrumentation technologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events as required.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and technical drawing tools.
