Technical Software Developer

Technical Software Developer Job Duties:
* Ensure the Technical Software development process sis followed on the development project.
* Work with others to improve the process.
* Designs, codes, tests, troubleshoots, and documents engineering software applications.
* Works as part of a project team or as a leader of a defined section of a major project.
* Develop project plans, functional specifications, and schedules.
* Provides direction for the Technical Software Architecture.
* Serves as a corporate resource, providing technical direction and advice to management in long-range planning for new or projected areas of software applications.
* Design, research, and develop new applications and major enhancements.
* Provides guidance to developers and support staff.
* As a gatekeeper of the technology this individual communicates and educates the staff about the current state of the technology and the future directions.

Knowledge/ Skill/ Ability/ Education/ Experience:
* Experience in leading software development projects especially at a systems level and will provide Technical Excellence Leadership.
* Work well as part of team in collaboration and participate with management, product line, and customers in developing new applications and technologies.
* Software programming (Siemens PLC/LabVIEW)
* Siemens PLC hardware experience.
* National instruments(cRIO/LabVIEW) hardware experience.
* Process controls experience.
* Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar discipline, and 4 years of related experience or through 8 years of software development experience.
