Mission:

As a Technical Specialist (DevOps engineer) you will, with the team;

Work with daily routines in the form of setup and change of virtual load.

Maintain and troubleshoot VMware-based solutions, including vSphere, VMware Horizon, Aria Operations, Tanzu, vCloud Foundation and NSX.

Lifecycle management of VMware-based solutions in the form of patching and version upgrades.

Utilize and improve existing automations.

Background

Our client is looking for Technical Specialists (DevOps engineer) for Group staff digitization, IOC, Platforms, Section DevOps who want to be part of running and developing the virtual platform for future patient, resident and employee services. They have an established Enterprise VMware environment, including vSphere, VMware Horizon, Aria Operations, Tanzu, vCloud Foundation and NSX.

As a Technical Specialist (DevOps engineer), you will be part of a team and develop and manage virtual infrastructure, with a focus on delivering capacity, optimizing performance, security and availability. The team consists of a Product Owner, Team Coach (Scrum Master) and several Technical Specialists (DevOps engineer).

Profile

Our client is looking for you who have practical knowledge and experience of working with larger Enterprise VM-ware environments. You should also have experience with automation. They are looking for you who are curious and constantly strive to improve and develop yourself and at the same time assist your colleagues. As the role involves many contacts with other parts of the organization, cooperation and communication skills are important qualities. The position may become security classified, which may require Swedish citizenship.

Shell requirements

Expert in the field.

At least 3 years of very good experience of having worked with Enterprise VMware environment in large organizations.

Good experience with VMware technologies, including vSphere, vCenter and vCF.

Good experience in automation and scripting.

Good experience and knowledge in Powershell.

Good experience with server OS from Microsoft.

Good ability with problem solving and ability to work independently and in a team.

Have the ability to express yourself well orally and in writing in both Swedish and English.

The consultant may be classified as security, which may require Swedish citizenship.

Meritorious

Good experience with server OS from Ubuntu and Redhat.

Good experience with the Horizon VDI platform.

Good understanding of networking and storage technologies that affect virtualized environments.

Good experience in designing and implementing self-service solutions and automated processes.

Good experience of agile working methods.

Good experience version management (eg Git)Good experience infrastructure such as code and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with Kubernetes platform in the form of vCenter integrated Tanzu
