iitjobs are seeking a skilled Technical Writer  to join our team. The Technical Writer provides support to  Client to read and analyze highly technical materials and to create presentations of that information.

Job Duties:-

The Technical Writer will prepare, review, update, and deliver the following documents and reports for each system/software project:
• System Design Document (SDD)
• Software Design Document (SWDD)
• Software Architecture
• System Architecture
• Data Flow Diagrams

Responsibilities:-

• Eight (8) years of relevant experience with Technical Writing.
• An accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree not listed is Mandatory to have
• Contribute feedback for documentation updates based on software release outcomes that require documentation changes, including system configuration guides, operator manuals, and/or user guides.
• Provide Configuration Management of software versions, problems reported, fixes that are in process, and status of planned software releases with scheduled dates and support Configuration Management by performing the following tasks:
• Identify, label, serialize, and mark all Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCI) for the entire CM life cycle and store them in Configuration Management tools (e.g., JIRA or NDP designated Configuration Management tools of similar functionality for future upgrades)and assign required unique identifiers described below:
  Document numbers – An identification number must be assigned to specifications, engineering drawings, associated lists, and ancillary documents, and
  Software identifiers – Current utilized tools such as Subversion or Git, (with potential to change platforms in the future) the Technical Writer support the Development team with the assignment of discrete identification to all software and must contain a version number, revision number, and release date. The medium identified must be inclusive and contain all subordinate software segments within configuration items to enable identification of differences in files and site versions and uniquely identify modified commercial configuration items; 
• Manage configuration control documentation that includes the change control procedures collection, processing, distribution and tracking of modification request forms, establishment and administration of change control boards, and formal audits to compare product to documentation
• Analyze, make recommendations, impacts on procedures and processes from the implementation of current and projected maintenance concepts (e.g., security controls/updates, COTS changes) to identify impacts on existing operational systems and future development efforts Update system and/or application documentation affected by maintenance actions and problem remediation.
  Develop system documentation for Initial Security Authorizations in accordance with Client’s Information Systems Security Program
• Update security documents, and annual security risk assessment documents in accordance with the Client’s Information Security and Privacy Program & Policy
