This position is a base level technical writer position working for the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. 

The position is a 4-6 month contract mostly remote, but will need to be onsite from time to time, so I will need someone local. 

The candidate does need to have experience in writing infrastructure such as Linux, database and storage. 

Job Description

Client has a rather large IT Modernization initiative going on and are moving to the cloud and looking at Vendors like Amazon and MS.

They have a start but need a solid technical writer that can check that there is clear and concise communication and flow.

There will be a list of questions in the RFP that the vendors will respond to and this person will pull the questions together and tweak them.

Requirements

They need a technical writer that has a strong understanding of IT Infrastructure (Linux, Windows, Storage, Security, DB, etc.) to help create the solution design document for merging the technical infrastructure into one single solution design document.

Must have a technical infrastructure knowledge understanding moving to the cloud (on prem vs Cloud)
