Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents encompassing software, systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation.
Write and edit technical documentation for all project hardware and software, including installation, configuration, and how-to guides.
Create code documentation for software, and produce implementation and end-user guides for capabilities.
Provide field, data definition, and data flow documentation, and format technical publications from various sources.
Assist in preparing and maintaining operations documentation, user guides, manuals, and technical publications.
Gather technical information and prepare written text.
Maintain a current internal documentation library.
Utilize multiple word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Collaborate with developers to produce quality documentation and training materials.
Work on all phases of documentation.
Prepare reports, responses, and briefings tailored to various audiences.
Coordinate layout and design of documents.
Demonstrate attention to detail, poise with grammar and its application, and interpretation of technical terminology during meetings and planning sessions.
Orient oneself and maintain situational awareness of an IT environment, identifying differentiating factors and technical terms relevant to building next-generation IT services.
Qualifications:
Level I: Two (2) years of experience as a TW in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity required.
Associate’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university required.
Additional two (2) years of TW experience may substitute for an Associate’s degree.
Level II: Six (6) years of experience as a TW in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity required.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university required.
Additional four (4) years of TW experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
Level III: Eight (8) years of experience as a TW in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity required.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university required.
A Master’s degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience, reducing the requirement to six (6) years of experience.
Additional four (4) years of TW experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
