Position Summary:
Gather information from source engineering documents and create standardized job aids for retail software applications intended for users with low to medium technology skills but are skilled in their own subjects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Learn existing processes and tools
- Gather information from design documents, test plans, and results.
- Apply information to write step-by-step instructions for new software tools
- Validate your instructions with hands-on use of software tools
- Use existing templates to document instructions
- Work with SMEs to ensure instructions are clear and applicable
- Use your expertise to expose gaps or deficiency in processes
- Track your own status and report as needed
Required Training and Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Writing, Communications or equivalent experience

Experience:
Required:
- 3 to 5 years
- Experience in documenting software application user interfaces
- Ability to interpret engineering documents
- Ability to focus on tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work remotely: disciplined work ethic, communicate through emails, messaging, and virtual conferencing
- Work well with others in a new corporate environment, find your niche
