Technology Business Systems Associate

About the Role
Support the Profitability calculation engine supporting P&L of multiple lines of business within the Commercial and Investment Banking Business. Understand the needs of the business, collaborate with the technology team to implement technology solutions through an agile process. 
 
Responsibilities
 

• Working directly with system end users within the business to understand their needs for Data aggregation and analysis
• Developing a deep level knowledge and understanding of both the commercial banking business and data extraction ability using SQL / Python
• Responsible for ensuring data accuracy and highlighting / resolving data inconsistencies
• Partnering with US stakeholders and delivering on efficiency and data completeness agenda
• Creation of data models, access structures, and reports by using SQL / Python
• Ability to analyze large datasets, big financial data by using SQL / Python

Key Skillsets include:

• Expertise and understanding of commercial banking P&L / Balance sheet attributes
• Financial services experience and good understanding of metrics across P&L and B/S
• Strong understanding of SQL / Python
• Strong experience in problem solving
• Experience of migration of data from Oracle to BI tools
• Able to understand complex business situations and problems
• Very strong verbal and written communication skill
• Ability to work closely with end users in the United States (PST)
• Database experience and ability to write basic SQL/ Python statements
• Data analysis abilities

 Essential Qualifications
 

• Master / Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
• 5+ years of experience data analysis / analytics in banking domain
• Experience in the financial / banking industry (experience in commercial banking preferred)
• Experience working directly with end users to collect information and requirements
• Flexibility to work in different shifts
• Hands on experience with excel
