Description

We seek a skilled Technical Operations Specialist with expertise in Kafka to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining applications and systems, with a focus on automation, incident management, and cloud migration projects to AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incident Management: Restore normal service operations as quickly as possible.
  • Problem Management: Identify root causes of incidents and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Change Management: Control changes in Test and Production environments.
  • Release and Deployment Management: Manage the release and deployment of changes into Test and Production environments.
  • Middleware Infrastructure Support: Provide deployment, maintenance, and support services.
  • Automation: Utilize scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Ansible, and Perl to automate processes.
  • On-Call Duty: Be available for on-call duty once every 4-6 weeks.

Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proficiency in Kafka.
    • Strong Linux administration skills (8 out of 10 proficiency).
    • Ability to script in Python or Bash.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (Git, Jenkins, Artifactory).
    • Experience with monitoring systems and metric databases.
    • Proven ability to automate processes.
  • DevOps and Cloud Experience:
    • Experience in DevOps is highly preferred.
    • AWS experience is a bonus (AWS Certification is a plus).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Ability to review and understand code for troubleshooting.
    • Strong project ownership skills – ability to plan, lead, and deliver projects.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills
