We seek a skilled Technical Operations Specialist with expertise in Kafka to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining applications and systems, with a focus on automation, incident management, and cloud migration projects to AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incident Management: Restore normal service operations as quickly as possible.
- Problem Management: Identify root causes of incidents and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Change Management: Control changes in Test and Production environments.
- Release and Deployment Management: Manage the release and deployment of changes into Test and Production environments.
- Middleware Infrastructure Support: Provide deployment, maintenance, and support services.
- Automation: Utilize scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Ansible, and Perl to automate processes.
- On-Call Duty: Be available for on-call duty once every 4-6 weeks.
Requirements:
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Kafka.
- Strong Linux administration skills (8 out of 10 proficiency).
- Ability to script in Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (Git, Jenkins, Artifactory).
- Experience with monitoring systems and metric databases.
- Proven ability to automate processes.
- DevOps and Cloud Experience:
- Experience in DevOps is highly preferred.
- AWS experience is a bonus (AWS Certification is a plus).
- Soft Skills:
- Ability to review and understand code for troubleshooting.
- Strong project ownership skills – ability to plan, lead, and deliver projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
