Job Description
The Test Engineer will work closely with the QA Analysts to test for any problems with software before the product is launched. He or she will test for any bugs and communicate them to the QA Analysts for documentation. He or she must also pay very close attention to detail and coach his or her team on managing testing tools, reporting results, and motivating process improvement. A normal work day includes developing new tests to run, running the tests, and documenting the results. If a particular defect has been discovered/patched by the QA Analysts and Software Developers, the Test Engineer will need to run the test again to confirm there are no new bugs and ensure that any further discovered defects are corrected. This position requires two to five years of experience.
