MIS Test Lead

100% Remote

Long-term Contract

Roles and Responsibilities:

a. Assist with the development and review of all test cases in support of the implementation of the new solution.

b. Organize and plan testing activities and provide input into the project schedule.

c. Develop State testing plan to ensure proper coverage of user stories and/or use cases.

d. Prioritize, schedule, and track remediated defects.

Proposals to Work Orders will be reviewed for ability to meet the State needs and there is no guarantee of award.

e. Maintain defect log.

f. Review vendor deliverables for testing protocols and execution; provide comments and recommendations to approve or request changes.

g. Report on testing status throughout all relevant project phases to project stakeholders.

h. Participate in functional testing.

i. Other duties related to testing as assigned and as needed by the Office of Licensing and Accreditation.

Required Experience and Skills:

a. Have at least 5 years of experience with developing test plans, testing scenarios and performing software testing in large and complex environments.

b. Have at least 5 years of testing experience within different areas of the SDLC (system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing).

c. This position will be expected to develop plans and testing scenarios for all testing phases involving state staff (integration, system, and user acceptance).

d. Experience utilizing tools (e.g., Jira) for logging and tracking defects.

e. Ability to maintain working relationships with implementation vendor, State business and technical teams and other project participants.
