Job Description
We are seeking a talented Timescale Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data infrastructure using Timescale DB. You will collaborate closely with our data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to ensure our database systems are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable Timescale DB architectures for our data storage needs.
Develop ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and store data from various sources.
Optimize database performance and ensure data quality and integrity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
Implement security best practices for data storage and access.
Stay current with industry trends and integrate new technologies to enhance our data infrastructure.
Requirements
Proven experience working with Timescale DB or other time-series databases.
Strong proficiency in SQL and database schema design.
Experience with ETL processes and data integration techniques.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience with distributed systems and big data technologies.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and practices.
