Job Description: UI Design

The User Interface (UI) Designer translates the business, brand, product, UX, content and development strategies into a conceptual and visual framework for our Hilton mobile platforms. Responsibilities include developing design elements including the atomic component library, image assets, icons, animations and other multimedia assets to support mobile strategies and provide a usable and compelling user experience for Hilton’s mobile platforms. Assignments include the development of digital design standards via our design system, platform, project or feature level work and design requests.

 

General expectations

• Responsible for the creation of all mobile UI design atomic components within documented Hilton Figma Libraries & Hilton Design System “Fractal”, optimised for alignment with iOS & Android, wide range of devices and interfaces — leading to intuitive user experiences.

• Responsible for production of optimised graphical elements across mobile platform (icons, brand banners, marketing & promotional material etc.).

• Collaborate with mobile team (Product, Development, UX, Accessibility, Content Design, QA & UAT) and/or key stakeholders, to establish required mobile patterns and interaction guidelines.

• Responsible for ensuring design cohesion across the mobile platform as well as ensuring required component flexibility is incorporated within each component via the use of component properties.

• Responsible for incorporating all considerations for digital accessibility and full mobile team feedback into our documented mobile Hilton Figma Libraries & Hilton Design System “Fractal”.

• Conducts internal creative review sessions with full mobile team to ensure that design meets both business objectives and end-user expectations.

• Develops style guides to capture the guidelines and principles directing the mobile platform’s visual design addressing use of color, imagery, typography, icons and symbols and application of brand identity elements.

• Acts as Creative SME reviewing design-related requests for adherence to design system standards to ensure a consistent creative approach for all brand initiatives.

• Take a user-centred approach to rapidly test and iterate ideas.

• Archive and document patterns that may have emerged from project work via the mobile documentation file.
