ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Primary duties/responsibilities:

  • Identifies UI and UX design needs for the company’s applications, platforms, and digital assets.
  • Develops and conceptualizes UI/UX design strategies to ensure consistency and best practices.
  • Produces high-quality UI/UX designs using wireframes, flow diagrams, graphic and visual design, sitemaps, prototypes, and storyboards.
  • Designs UI elements, such as search boxes, navigation menus, widgets, and tabs, for the company’s applications, platforms, and digital assets using various UI/UX tools.
  • Test UI elements, forms, form elements, page designs, page layouts, target links, and page flows.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Communications team and internal and external designers to make sure that tailor-made content is being created and delivered to the digital users.
  • Provides advice and guidance on the implementation of UX research methods and tests to ensure proper prediction and analysis of user behavior.
  • Functions as an internal UI/UX Subject Matter Expert and recommends best-practice solutions.
  • Performs other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Proven work experience as a UI/UX designer or a similar role.
  • Portfolio of UI/UX design work for both mobile and web platforms
  • Good knowledge of Sketch, InVision, HTML, Visio, iOS, Android, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Proficient with visual design programs such as Adobe Photoshop and others.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment to create top-performing interfaces for end users.
  • Experience with coding and ability to troubleshoot using HTML, CSS, and comparable languages.
  • Continued education and research into UX trends and current design strategy and technologies.
  • Experience creating storyboards and website mapping.

 

* Minimum level of education and years of relevant work experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.g. computer science, web design, graphic design, etc.) and a minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related environment OR equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience as the principal resource for UI/UX design OR equivalent experience and/or education
