About The Position
You will be leading the User Experience research, strategy, and design for new internal application design. This could include new product design or design work on existing applications across desktop, web, and mobile platforms. In this role, you will be acting as a UX lead but will be expected to have day-to-day hands-on involvement in all aspects of design, possibly including the supervision of additional UI/UX designers. You will be responsible for the delivery of design documentation of your team to development teams. You will be working with a dynamic team of product managers, developers, and other UX Designers.
What You Will Be Asked To Do
Work in a dual-track Agile project environment, become the local UX expert in terms of design planning and UX processes
Work with PM, Engineering, and other stakeholders to identify new UX goals for upcoming initiatives, including UX research and design execution
Use Figma, Miro, Jira, and GSuite to deliver design specifications. Create wireframes & interactive prototypes to test concepts
Conduct user research, interviews, and surveys, translating them into experience maps, story maps, workflows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
Extend the Pattern Library and work with the Trimble UX Council on pushing new design patterns into the Trimble Design System
Conduct and supervise usability studies to optimize your designs for the end users
Create high-fidelity designs and refine those for delivery to the development team
What Skills And Experience You Should Bring
5+ years of experience in the User Experience Design field
Solid experience with design tools: Sketch, Figma, XD
Skilled in conducting research and leveraging data to inform design strategy & direction
Solid background in human-centered design and expertise with user experience design process tools and best practices
A passion and deep experience in designing for professional users, an understanding of workflow analysis and customer journey analysis
An innovative & strategic thinker who is skilled in interaction design, prototyping and comfortable working with new technologies
An undergraduate or master's degree in user interface design, user experience design, human-computer interaction, interaction design, or the like
