Role: VMware Support Engineer

Location: Littleton, CO & Dallas, TX (Onsite)

Job Summary

A VMWare Support Engineer will be directly working as part of the Operational Support team. They will be actively engaged in environments supporting automated deployment and management on a VMWare cloud native environment.

Candidates Skills:

· Experience in root cause analysis, through resolution of VMware infrastructure

· Experience in break/fix and upgrade assistance of VMware infrastructure

·        Experience in monitoring of VMware platforms and key interfaces for overall health

·        Experience in performing trend analysis of issues on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and present the findings of such analysis on VMware infrastructure.

·        Support related to VMware Cloud (VMC) on AWS

· Experience in cloud-native network function (CNF) and virtual network function (VNF) onboarding to VMware infrastructure.

· Experience in VMware platforms configuration management and capacity planning.

·        Knowledge on Project Management tools of JIRA

·        Knowledge on source repository like Nexus/GitLab

Skills, Experience and Requirements

• As a successful VMWare Engineer, you will have the following at a minimum:

• 3 or more years of professional experience in VMware services and tools

• Direct experience in bare-metal deployments of VMware infrastructure

• Direct experience with building and administering multiple VMware products across multiple remote locations and data centers.

• Experience in root cause analysis, through resolution of VMware infrastructure

• Experience in break/fix and upgrade assistance of VMware infrastructure

• Experience in monitoring of VMware platforms and key interfaces for overall health

• Experience in performing trend analysis of issues on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and present the findings of such analysis on VMware infrastructure.

• Support related to VMware Cloud (VMC) on AWS

• Experience in cloud-native network function (CNF) and virtual network function (VNF) onboarding to VMware infrastructure.

• Experience in VMware upgrades

• Experience in VMware platforms configuration management and capacity planning.

• Knowledge on Project Management tools of JIRA

• Knowledge on source repository like Nexus/GitLab

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentations skills.

• Aptitude for Creativity and Innovation

• Excellent debugging skills
