Administrative Knowledge with practical hands-on of Middleware application server products across platforms such as UNIX, Solaris with good command line understanding.
Experience & awareness of build and setup the front end WebSphere environment per application requirements.
Administer WebSphere Application Servers . This include WebSphere instance configuration, monitoring health of application servers, deploying applications on servers, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Apply performance monitoring / tuning methodologies to investigate issues reported for WebSphere Application Server.
Installing WebSphere Application Server ND, IBM HTTP server and various other middleware technologies like Apache / Tomcat.
Application environment configurations – JVM, Clustering, profile creation, JDBC, JMS, JNDI, SIB, Security implementation etc.
Configure and administer WebSphere resources like JDBC providers, Data Sources,JNDI, J2C authentication alias and various other configurations including MQ queue/ qcf etc.
Deploying J2EE applications like WAR / EAR files through admin console / jythonscripts.
Implementing changes in production servers in tight schedule with utmost quality.
Troubleshooting issues related to IHS / WAS / Plugin.
Installing fix packs on WAS / IBM HTTP Server / Plugin.
Level 2 / Level 3 troubleshooting knowledge on Middleware Technologies.
Production Support Experience is a must
