WMS Consultant

Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business partners and onsite SMEs to understand and translate requirements into Functional Specifications and Design.
Work with the team in different phases of the project including problem definition, effort estimation, diagnosis, solution generation and design and deployment.
Create requirement specifications from the business needs, define the to-be-processes and detailed functional designs based on requirements. 
Explore the alternatives to the recommended solutions based on research that includes literature surveys, information available in public domains, vendor evaluation information, etc. and build POCs.
Work closely with the technical team to hand off the functional design and support in the technical design and development of the solution.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in production operations, identify the root cause of issues, recommends and implement the solution for uninterrupted production operations.
Liaise with Oracle on the production issues and product bugs.

Key Competencies and Skills:

Must have at least 4 to 6 years of working experience in Oracle Suite.
Experience in at least 2 to 3 full cycle Implementations in Oracle Warehouse Management System, experience in Designing Interface / Authoring functional design documents for Extensions/Interface/Conversion is a must.
Minimum 1 to 2 implementation or Support project experience in Oracle Fusion Applications as Fusion WMS/Logfire Functional Consultant.
A strong understanding and in-depth hands-on experience in the following areas is a Must.
WMS experience covering complex processes in Shipping and Receiving, including WMS strategies and rules for picking, putaway, and shipping.
Experience in Managing RF Guns.
Strong knowledge of WMS inbound/outbound logistics, task management, and wave planning.
Experience with interfacing applications Such as Fusion Order Management and Oracle Transportation Management system.
Good understanding and experience in Oracle Order Management.
Experience in working with Development and functional teams to finalize cross-functional solutions viz. teams across Manufacturing, Ordering, and WMS tracks.
Experience in preparation of Test Scripts / BR100 and Test Execution in functional testing/system integration testing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Qualifications:

Preferred Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering, master’s in computer applications, or equivalent from a reputed institute. 
Any certification in Warehouse Management or WMS module is preferred but Optional.
