XSLT Developer
Summary of the role
Looking for a mid-senior xml developer to analyze legal content sources and transform it to support
product features. Need to master xslt 2.0 (expertise with xslt 3.0 preferred, expertise in WordML an
important plus) and be knowledgeable about XSD schemas.
Key responsibilities: xslt development, code peer review, mark-up review and conformance to data
model, regression testing.
Ability to work independently and interact effectively with the team.
Strong communication skills required to interact with the virtual engineering team and the customers.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FROM MANAGER: 
To get started, can you give me a quick overview of your team and what you do? 
There are 11 engineers in my team (mostly homebased). The team’s scope of work is to analyze content
received from different vendors and sources, define schemas, and write content transformations to
support product functionalities (i.e. search, indexing, etc.).
The contractor that will join the team will be dedicated to the South Africa initiative.

The person who will be successful in this role will be somebody who?
 Ability to master xslt
 Ability to complete assignment independently
 Ability to interact effectively with the rest of the team and the customer
What would you say are the TOP 3 must-have skills you’re looking for? (Measurable skills,

 xslt (xslt 3.0 preferred, xslt 2.0 required)
 Knowledge of XSD schema

Does your team work standard core hours or does that vary?  
EST standard hours (9:00 am – 5:00 pm) – occasional meeting early morning at 8:30 am EST

With some of the other huge tech companies out there, competition for talent at all levels can get
pretty tough at times. When suppliers start sourcing, what would you say are some of the main selling
points that would get candidates interested in your role over another? 
Based on feedback from other engineers that worked in my team, they appreciated the working
environment. The team is friendly and cooperative. The projects are interesting and challenging.
Selected candidate will have the opportunity to make a difference in the project and improve their skills
working with expert xslt developers on a challenging and rewarding project.
