Experience Required     

  • The Java Developer (XStore POS) position is responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of XStore POS software in a service provider environment that supports the company business strategies and objectives.
  • Position Requirements
  • Knowledge & Experience
  • 5+ years of IT experience.
  • 5+ years Java and Web Application development experience, RESTful services.
  • 2+ years experience of Oracle XStore Point of Sale development.
  • 3+ years SQL and XML development
  • 3+ years experience in Relational Database Management Systems, preferably Oracle.
  • 2+ years experience in SOA and Webservices.
  • 2+ years experience with Unix-like operating systems, macOS or Linux preferred.
  • Experience in Docker containers and Kubernetes is preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities             

  • Review and conduct information systems needs assessment and recommend appropriate infrastructure solution
  • Design and implement applications and enhancements using JAVA code
  • Maintain and enhance applications per client request
  • Assist with defining and implementing regression test suites
  • Frequently analyze and define client data conversion, interface, and application enhancement requirements
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Establish and monitor systems support and development in a Micros environment
  • Perform application enhancements and modifications, while mentoring and teaching other consultants
  • Facilitate the logging, reporting, and resolution of application issues as needed
  • Regularly assist in the definition of implementation and integration alternatives
  • Intermittently perform go-live assessments to determine the readiness of the system as well as client and support teams
  • Often provide knowledge transfer to necessary 3rd party vendors (hardware, software, etc) related to Oracle Retail and OLR applications and requirements
