Z/OS Programmer

Position: Z/OS System Programmer

Location: REMOTE

Duration: 12+ Months contract

I have an immediate need for a Z/OS Systems Programmer… (***NOT AN APPLICATION PROGRAMMER***)

This is a 100% remote long-term contract

MUST HAVE very strong Z/OS experience… MUST BE A SYSTEMS PROGRAMMER… (***NOT AN APPLICATION PROGRAMMER***)
MUST HAVE experience in capacity and performance management
MUST HAVE 3rd party product support/knowledge

We are seeking experienced z/OS Systems Programmers with installation and support experience with

z/OS operating system and related IBM and ISV products. We are looking for subject matter experts

to assist us with numerous projects from steady-state support to specific projects, including ISV

software migrations and performance and workload management engagements.

We are looking for subject matter experts with the following skills and experience:

z/OS operating system support - installation, maintenance, configuration and

troubleshooting

Broad ISV and IBM Program Product support - installation, maintenance, configuration

and troubleshooting

Advanced knowledge of SMP/E

Understanding of the capabilities and configuration specifics of IBM and ISV products

and experience in replacing an ISV product with an IBM equivalent

Database & Data communications - DB2, IMS, CICS, VTAM/TCPIP

Experience with performance management

REXX programming
