Essential Technical Skills for Automation engineer:

·       Exposure to medium/large environments (700 servers plus)

·       Powershell

o   Import/Export files to several formats (csv, xml, txt,…)

o   Connect to SQL Instances, and execute simple to complex SQL Instructions to send / retrieve data

o   Connect to Servers to retrieve OS / Applications settings

o   Deploy changes across the board, by using serial / parallel processes targeting SQL or OS 

o   Track progress of scripts executions on serial / parallel batches

o   Error Handling

·       SQL Server

o   Able to develop Stored Procedures, Functions, Complex Queries in T-SQL

o   Availability Groups

o   CMS

o   Error Handling

o   Logins / Users permissions

·       Medium OS Knowledge (Windows Server)

·       Basic Networking skills 

·       Basic Active Directory, DNS skills (User accounts, permissions, windows groups, DNS Zones)

·       Reverse Engineer processes

·       Code Review

·       Microsoft Sentinel

·       AZURE Resource Graph Explorer

·       KQL (Kusto Query Language)

·       AZURE PowerShell
