Job Description:

Position Summary

The position is a front-line employee with direct customer contact evaluating, repairing, assembling, and start up services for valves, actuators, and general process control instrumentation. 

In addition to technical skills, people skills are vital for effective customer relationship management.

Essential Duties

Repairs valves, actuators, (electric and pneumatic) and instrumentation at a customer's facility or at the Swanson Flo in house repair locations

Calibrates field instruments such as level, pressure, temperature, and flow transmitters

Diagnose customer problems, proper use of tools and equipment, on-the-job safety practices, and proper job documentation

Trouble-shoots process control equipment; including valve, actuators and process control instrumentation repairs are commonly completed either at the customer site or at in-house repair facility

Ensures that all service to customer equipment is completed efficiently, on time, and correctly according to specifications.

Assists with shop assembly needs as time permits

Contributes to building excellent company/customer relations

Performs other related duties as assigned
