Project Tasks

• Day to day VxRail operational activities/tasks

• General VMware infrastructure management knowledge How to do permissions , standard VM management, licensing, and vSphere networking

• Lifecycle management for the VxRail

• Resident needs to ensure the customer understands the process/procedures for version and codes upgrades, maintenance, firmware updates etc.

• Assist customer in optimizing the VxRail environment

• Open and support all Dell support tickets, take the lead to work with support to resolve any issues

• Conduct knowledge transfer to address the customer's/partner team members skills and "product" gaps

• Share best methodologies throughout the residency assignment

• Resident is expected to be self-directed, able to accomplish tasks with little to no direction

• Resident will need to be onsite for the duration of the assignment

• Nice to have - if the resource has experience with Hyper V during the residency assignment the customer would like to have a conversation regarding difference between VMware and Hyper V, any information regarding licenses as well as if they have worked in an environment that executed a VMware to Hyper -V. Important to note this is a NICE to have and not required to be considered for this assignment. The priority is understanding how to manage their VxRail environment
